I hope that something like this would be made for Cinema 4D (R14 and above) or for Modo 701 (and above). There is no similar software for C4D and Modo at the moment... C4D users have only ANIMA (from axyz-design) but that is poor version of Miarmy features (user can't even create own characters and animations).

If there will be Cinema 4D version, I would like to see some co-operation with x-particle.com/ developer and as good integration as Maya has

Dear Jumu, We're planning expand our software to others platform with Renderer Support later such as 3ds MAX and Houdini. And also if possible, we'll check out the Modo and C4D if they supported renderer allow us do that. But rebuild a whole plugin feature in other package is not an easy job, we'll consider your suggestion and see is that possible:) Thank you very much for your suggestions! --Yeah I hope that something like this would be made for Cinema 4D (R14 and above) or for Modo 701 (and above). Thank you so much for your concerning Miarmy is a huge program It contains 100+ CPP files and 100+ scripts. So later I'm sure we'll provide the render ports to those programs but maybe it's hard to migrate entire miarmy to them~~ Best wishes!! --Yeah

I really meant the entire MiArmy I know it is hard but I see lots of potential in MiArmy and C4D or Modo integration - I see no use for render ports only :/ But it could be more simpler to code standalone version of MiArmy and create import/export for Alembic and collada...? C4D userbase is growing fast and it is already huge and the developer is doing co-operation with Houdini developers so I think it will have bright future in visual effects (and I think this is happening because many users are requesting visual effect features for C4D): www.maxon.net/en/news/press-releases/singleview/article/maxon-announces-partnership-with-side-effects-software.html here you can read that "First steps consist in the development of a CINEMA 4D Plug-in for the Houdini Engine." so there will be other steps and there is also this video (Interview with MAXON’s Oliver Meiseberg and Side Effects’ Jeff Wagner.): www.fxguide.com/quicktakes/fmx-2014-houdini-engine-for-cinema-4d-realflow-2014/ and these are the reason why I think that C4D might be right platform for MiArmy in future. -kind regards, Jumu

Did you mention a Houdini version? That would be AWESOME! I am currently switching from Maya to Houdini and it is awesome. As far as I can tell it is the software to go to when you want to do something procedural. (or pretty much anything else on a professional level) Do you have any plan on when we can expect the first really early probably unstable and buggy Alpha version? I would love to beta test it and help you. Houdini already has a built in crowd simulation, but based on their documentation it doesn't even come close to what miarmy can do. (Especially agents running above each other. It's hilarious to watch them trample each other.)
