Hi, how are you? I'm going to make a agent like ancient solider To start with, i decided to make agent. first, 'Create Original agent' was OK! but ' Send Active Geo to Original Agent' didn't work!! Geo did not move into 'Geometry_loco' I relly dont know why... i tried to change structure of rig some types... but i did not solve this problum give me some clue plz This is the message about this error in commend line " Error : ValueError: file C:\Basefount\Miarmy\maya\scripts\McdOriginalFunctions.py line 1526: No object matches name: [u'MiddleFinger1_L_ogb_loco', u'MiddleFinger2_L_ogb_loco'............} Because my English is not good, i think it is hard to understand this for you so i upload images of this error and if you want, i'll give you my Maya scene ... Actually, i hope so and... how can i attach my file on here?

Hello hdg1060, I think there might be some repeat name in your bone structure, then when copying the skin weight, it brought some problems. Thanks Yeah! I'm going to send a Maya file to email in a hour. I tried to fix that problems by many ways continuously in yesterday and i found the Way to send geo, that is this After Geo separated than redo skinning, finally the Geo sent into 'Geometry_loco' but i wanna know more easier way to fix instead of separate Geo and i want know conceptions or principles in this problems and.. suddenly, i could not open 'Miarmy Tools' except this, everything is ok. Hello hdg1060, You have 2 problems in your rig: 1. the DaoAA and DunAA are not link to wrist: Please see below image, the 2 joints are broken from main bone chain. Maya > Skeleton > Connect Joint (Box) > Parent Mode can solve this problem and connect the joint to wrist 2. you need to re-order the skin bone on top of control bone: Otherwise, when you create the OA, it create from your control bone which only a half of agent. Hello Yeah! I have another problem about 'Send Active Geo to Original Agent' again. That is a horse. i created original agent and i checked whether joints are broken from main bone or not. I think it's ok. but geo didn't send 'Geometry_xxx' so, i tried to separate geo+reskinning and did again(send Geo). then I could send Geo into 'Geometry_xxx' but i wanna know what makes this error and the root cause. I sent the scene file into email. Attachments:

Hello hdg, Your problem is simple These geometry are belong to "motion system", But the bones in Original agent are from "deformation system", so it cannot copy weight to bones not existed. MJTJiangsheng RJTJiangsheng LJTJiangsheng Please remove them out from skinning and you skin copy will be correct. Cheers! --Yeah

How do you sort this out when you are not a rigger or modeller and know nothing of skinning etc?

Hello Zday, All stages of production will be involved in crowd simulation, like modeling, texturing, animation, rigging, vfx and rendering ect. So, some basic rigging knowledge will be very helpful if we need to finish a crowd shot task. We can try our best to upgrade it in future (such as give more hints if there are some issue in rigging/skinning) but it's too hard to make it intelligent 100%.
