Hello
I have a 3d road to guide a flocking birds through and It works great. but I need some noise or turbulence along the way.
I added a couple of Zones to break the ant like flying line. It works but I need more turbulence. when I enable dynamics, with a maya turbulence field, all birds fall down. in fact I don't want them to fall but to receive the turbulence and yet following the road.
is there any better way to do this kind of effects?

Hello haaranoos, Would you please try these methods: 1) We can make the turbulence into the action For example we can make an animation with above track and then the bird will contain some in-action turbulence 2) We can add some Maya turbulence field and make our agents follow the field from time to time. 3) We can use sine-timmer function and make our agents turn left/right, but this is relatively fake. might you please provide a simple scene that describes using turbulence field and 3d road?
in fact I think I stick with the option(2) but I can't get the desired result due to the fact that birds fall down instead of moving in 3d road and getting turbulence?

the Effect I'm looking for is this kind of flocking: www.youtube.com/watch?v=nffdc9sLYnYI know that Miarmy is capable of doing so many crowd things but is this possible with Miarmy too? I used spot attract tool and animate the spot but after hundred frames all agents attach to the spot not possible to flock around it any more... I have no idea of other setup please let me know if there is any possibility . thank you in advance

This is a temp solution but very bad, We're planning to develop a new approach to achieve the result in the footage of youtube. If everything smooth, it can be done this week!!

I developed my way of doing that using several zones and 3d road and using your fantastic new feature, turbulence and the director was kinda happy with the result. this kind of effect (flocking system) is already a part of Golaem crowd but I really like MiArmy for many reasons and I'm sure you can add this feature to your great tool. waiting to see what is your next magic.
