Hello there. i just tried the new drive mesh technique. everything works fine, caching the agents, duplicate the mesh... and if i scrub the time line back and forth it updates fine. but if i start a batch render, i only get static geometry, no animation. i can render stills but no animation. is this a bug or have i missed an important step ? i hope some of you guys can help me out. thanks

I'm sorry the mesh drive cannot be rendered by batch render, please try Mental Ray or V-Ray directly render in Maya, for details, please check out our latest version of software: www.basefount.com/home/press-releaseThanks!! You can render those agents but you have to create a mesh cache. Select your agents and from the animation menu > Geometry Cache > Create New Cache
Be careful to save a copy of a scene with agents just in case you need to rework something.

Alembic is available for this cache creating. and next week, we will provide Alembic creating without duplicate meshes;) You can render those agents but you have to create a mesh cache. Hello there thank you for your reply. i figured out by myself to use the geometry cache yesterday i watched the mental ray and vray rendering method, great stuff ! and it works quite well. i´m really excited for the Alembic cache in the next week, always a pleasure to watch new tutorials from you guys.
