Hi ! I am following your procedure to render in mental ray (page 18 of 1.5 new features guide). So I did successfully steps 1-5 from the Preparing in Maya and steps 1-2 from the Render in Maya. However when clicking on Duplicate Meshes and Randomize Texture, I get the error message: Naming error/Please check the naming conventions.
Any idea how I can solve this ? Thanks, Laurent

That is almost there!! because some of your geometry contain "|", it caused by your scene contain some same name in different hierarchy. for example: group|pBox1 |pBox1 Please rename one of the pBox1 to pBox2, it should be OK!! Hi Yeah, Is there a quick way to identify where this duplication can come from ? I am using your stadium simplified model, and the amount of objects is huge. Thanks, Laurent

Hi Laurent, The duplication is come from Geometry_XXX group under each of agent groups of Miarmy_Contents. if you are going to render huge number of agents by mesh drive, please make sure as simple as possible, it's memory consuming. Hi Laurent, No problem, please put the question any time here Geometry_locoman is a null, I call it a "group" means it can be parent of some other objects.
