Hi , I think miarmy is powerful to using Reanderman & Mentalray render engine. I created sequence of MI proxy and create empty scene in maya 2014. I have two problem first I can only one frame import to maya and cannt use and how to use McdMRRenderdummy process . second MR proxy dont support multi pass rendering and image is single with all layer (I think it is shortcoming of MR proxy)
Someone has a better method?

Hello Danial, You can create a lot of McdMRRenderdummy objects and key frame the hide/unhide each one, Miarmy have this command all automatically, you just need export the sequence of McdMRRenderdummy and import them into a new scene. 2. Hi Yeah' Thanks for advice . my big question with MR is when export MI in Miarmy MI file is Proxy and mentalray proxy has limitation. if MI file that miarmy generated have camera and maya scene setting can render by mentalray standalone version. I cannt find MI file have camera and is full scene setting or not ?

Oh our mi file is just archive file, only objects content inside and they are all agents, no any scene files, (no cam, lights and obj other than agents) We use mel and maya exported this file~ I'm so sorry our company dont have mentalray standalone lic for running. and I never touched that, we worked more on arnold and renderman at recent years. thank you! --Yeah Hi Yeah' Thanks for advice . my big question with MR is when export MI in Miarmy MI file is Proxy and mentalray proxy has limitation. if MI file that miarmy generated have camera and maya scene setting can render by mentalray standalone version. Hello Mr Yeah Yang , Thanks for advice I finally finded mentalray is very good flexibility to use. according video 62 mesh drive 3 i done everything and finally hided miarmy contents and export meshdrive agents by MI format exported( renderable scene) this method is very good too render in renderfarm and work in mentalray standalone machine but have little problem. because each frame Meshdrive3 must calculating , MI exporter just export 1 frame . I need to work MEL or python script that first going to next frame and done process of meshdrive and export all with MI format exporter in maya.
If you create this script i believe mentalray users never have a problems with miarmy.

Hello I have a problem There is a character, whose rig is build not only on bones, but also on contains as: geometry, normal, point, aim, parent constraines. Bones are present in his tongue only. As I study your plug-in, I realized, that bones are needed for agents to be displayed correctly! Quickly i’ve added it into correct places and agent started to be shown properly. I have also managed to make few animations and all is working. Not working but the renderer. Mental ray is needed. I know I need to put my character in a folder «geometry_loco» using «send active geo to original agent», but I do not get it. Error: indexerror: list index out of range. Please help
P.S. Is it really needed to do rig immediately linking to hierarchy miamy?
