I am using Alpha 5 with Maya2012 but am having difficulty in integrating this with 3Delight For Maya 6. I keep getting response "cannot find shader path of 3delight.Please install 3delight10. Do not know why have to install this but have done so Now Maya cannot find MiArmy shader in shader path. Should this "system variable"have been set on the install
Secondly get another prompt "cannot find Miarmy install place inj "Miarmy For maya.txt" Should I have to add extra line in this file?
Am trying to follow tuts No 47>
Any suggestions?

Hi, Thank you for your feedback. 1. Please download and install 3delight pro studio for rendering, It's totaly for free, and our system need it to render and display images. it prompt out because system cannot shader to compile maybe. 2. there should be a MiarmyForMaya.txt file in <maya install place>\Autodesk\Maya2012\modules\ folder and the contents is the path of Miarmy (the installation guild introduced it in details) + Miarmy 1.5 C:\Program Files\Miarmy\Basefount\Miarmy1.5\maya Thank you, I am using Alpha 5 with Maya2012 but am having difficulty in integrating this with 3Delight For Maya 6. Hi Yeah,
Tks yr reply. Have installed 3delight studio pro 10.0.4 but still having problems with Maya not finding Miarmy shaders. My "system variables" are MAYA_PLUG-IN PATH MAYA_SCRIPT_PATH MAYA_RENDER_DESC_PATH DELIGHT DL_DISPLAYS_PATH DL_SHADERS_PATH should there be any others eg MIARMY_PATH
I have the .txt file installed in the Maya/Modules folder but after the first prompt re shaders it then prompts that it cannot find"Miarmy install place " from the .txt file.
I am also curious about the 3dfm_shave2012.mll plug-in.
What is this? Cannot load in Maya as it cannot find path. Does this need another "system variable" set up
If I cannot get 3Delight operating can I ignore 3Delight and use Mental Ray instead.

Hi, I have the same problem, when I try to Preview Render (I display) Miarmy asks:
"We didn't find Miarmy shader in your shader path, compile them now ??"
after clicking "yes" an error message appears:
"Cannot find Miarmy install place in MiarmyForMaya.txt"
Then it goes on and renders the scene but the shaders are all shiny white. My geometry has some very simple standard maya blin and phong shaders with displacement maps.
What are we missing? If I turn on mesh drive out and render from the 3Dlight menu, everything renders as expected, but I want to export RIBs and use split render. Please help!

There is no any Miarmy_Path var needed. just an module txt file point to the Miarmy installation place.
